That it took nearly a year to record Voulez-Vous is an indicator of the creative and personal box in which the four members of ABBA found themselves at the end of the '70s. Their sixth album coincided with the marital split between Agnetha Fältskog and Björn Ulvaeus and the massively shifting currents in popular music, with disco, which had been on the wane, suddenly undergoing a renaissance thanks to the 1977 movie Saturday Night Fever.

I have been familiar with the 'Voulez-Vous' album for about nearlly 5 years now and it is just superb! I love the songs 'Angeleyes', 'Kisses of Fire', 'Does your Mother Know', 'I Have a Dream' and especially 'Lovelight.' All the songs on this ABBA album are magnificent, and this is definetly ABBA's love album. amazing!

When this was originally released in 1979, it stormed straight to number 1 in the UK and held its place for most of the Summer. Deservedly too. This album was packed with greatness from the catchy europop of "As Good As New" to the gentle whispering vocals of Agnetha on "Kisses of Fire" and funkyness of Frida on "Lovers (live a Little Longer)" Some of the non singles are well worth checking out. A belter!!
