In my personal opinion, "I Am The City" is the 1982 smash-hit single that never was! It has a lively, uptempo and very energetic feel to it, which makes it stand out from the many ABBA songs of the 1981 and 1982 period. It's a song that could even be covered and remixed today (preferably by D.J. Ensamble (search for the "Trancing Queen" CD album on eBay, or view any one of the "2007 remix" ABBA videos on YouTube (his remix of "Summer Night City" is a knockout - and actually gets played in our local nightclub on 'Gay Night') to hear some of his work)) and used as a great dancefloor filler in any nightclub around the world ("Summer Night City" works for many people in our local area, and I'm sure it would work for many other people in many other places as well)! As mad as this may sound to some people, I can actually imagine "I Am The City" being re-recorded by another artist and remixed by a well-known professional D.J. and re-released around the world, with many people not even contemplating the fact that this is an ABBA song! I can even picture it being released on a "Clubland" album!
